In like a Lion out like a Lamb

This is our first blog post for our friends and family who wish to follow us as we complete the long journey to our daughter Mary Iris.  The month of March 2009 marks the three year anniversary of our 3/21/06 LID or log in date that our paperwork reached China.  But our "paperchase" actually began the day we mailed in the first inquiry letter to our agency  on our wedding anniversary in September of 2005. This month roared in with referrals for families with LID's of March 3-6th.  There is even a rumor in Europe that families through March 10th are included this month.  Check out our "go to" site for the latest rumors here. This would be wonderful news but we know by now it is not good to get too excited about rumors.  Realistically, we think that our referral (the day we receive our daughter's picture, her home province and personal information) will come by the end of the summer. 

For those dear friends and family who have given us so much support over the years we are so very grateful and look forward to bringing our Mary Iris home for you all to meet.  In the meantime we would like to use this space to keep you updated on when our referral is likely to arrive and what we are doing to prepare for our trip.
